𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 is today more than ever full of 𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 who claims to be Personal trainers working on the body of people without any kind of study or competence.
Every day I see: 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 with inflammation and retention doing high repetitions and perpetually in a state of muscular acidosis, 𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 training exclusively with bodybuilder programs, diets straight out of science fiction with no carbohydrates and a daily protein intake equivalent to that of a Bengal tiger, military presses for individuals with hyperkyphosis and poor shoulder flexion mobility, exercises given to clients with 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, and the list could go on and on...
Especially here 𝐢𝐧 INDIA, the fitness industry seems incredibly 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥. The emphasis is placed more on how cool a trainer appears on Instagram rather than their actual knowledge and expertise.
Dear clients, when selecting a trainer, opt for someone who is 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 about their job, committed to expanding their 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞, and genuinely 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬 about your 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠. Yes, such trainers may come with a higher price tag, but consider it an 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 for the long term. After all, would you entrust your dental health to a dentist lacking expertise in their field?
𝐓𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬, if you truly cherish your profession, 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 to continuous study, practice, and collaboration with other experts in the field. While empathy and listening skills are crucial, they should never serve as excuses for subpar performance. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, strive for improvement every single day, and uphold the integrity of our profession.
